Meet the Team

Revd Nicki Hobbs
Rector, St Andrew Broughton with Cransley and Mawsley
Rural Dean for Kettering and Higham
Nicki became Rector of the benefice in September 2018, having been curate here since 2014. Before being ordained, she worked in various roles in the charity sector, including working with bereaved children and teenagers. She is currently undertaking a Masters in Christian Spirituality, and is Rural Dean of Kettering and Higham Deaneries. She enjoys walks in the countryside, detective novels and dramas and like to get to the coast as often as she can.
Revd Huw Yardley
Assistant Curate, St Andrew Broughton
with Cransley and Mawsley
Huw joined the benefice as Assistant Curate following his ordination in Peterborough Cathedral in July 2024. Huw’s role as curate is to support Nicki in carrying out all her responsibilities in the benefice while he completes his training as a parish priest. He lives in Broughton with his wife, Fiona, who is a university lecturer, greyhound Arlo and cat Cookie. Offspring Ben, Finian and Rain can sometimes also be found there but are mostly away variously working, training and learning. Before ordination, Huw worked for 27 years as a House of Commons Clerk.

Laura Connolly
Church Administrator
Laura joined the team as Church Administrator in February 2024. She previously worked in the healthcare sector, followed by a period of being stay-at-home-mum to her twin daughters.
She loves exploring the countryside around the benefice and beyond, photographing the changing seasons and learning about local history and heritage. She also enjoys being part of the bellringing group which meets at Cransley every Tuesday.
